Prenatal Yoga

Borrowed several DVDs about pregnancy from the public library.  I think the DVD above is quite good.  I am very cautious about practising Yoga as my uncle told me that there're spiritual elements behind - that may made one be superstitious. 

As a stretching exercise, this one is pretty good. There are three ladies in different trimesters of the pregnancy and you can follow the actions depends on your own situation.

 This yoga exercises lasts for about 30 minutes. This one is a bit difficult to follow because she always forgot to hint when to inhale and exhale. As a beginner, I do not know how to 'control my breathe correctly'.

The 2nd obstetrical scan ---> should be equivalent to Hong Kong's 照結構.

The doctor checked carefully every body parts of the baby and make sure that everything is alright.

Yay...this time, all looks fine.  There are total 3 professionals assisting in the process..The doctor who is in the leading role, one intern, and one specialist...it made me feel good...佢地全部都好認真...差唔多睇左45 minutes..好仔細....醫生為左檢查有無Cleft lip..即時照埋3D...

我好鍾意聽到個specialist 既comment....佢咩都話 Excellent...令到我好放心..(其實...excellent 係佢既口頭嬋...因為佢一入房..咩都未睇...已經話excellent 啦...)

今日最重要的事..係confirm 左bb 既性別...

"Congratulations...You're having a boy. Excellent~"
 即係話係老虎仔....其實係仔係女都好.

(Week 21)

First Movie - Inception

Haven't been to cinema for a long time. We watched Inception with Carol and Martin at Cupertino's AMC today.  The cinema was so full. 之前在New Haven....成日都可以包左間戲院...或者極其量5-6行...今晚既場面真係好澎湃!

唔知係咪有左既關係..特別容易攰...我居然在上半場時...訓左5分鍾.........Baby seems to be quite excited about the sound effect...kicked me for several times at the beginning...but 去到後面..可能劇情太深...佢訓左..無再踼我 :P .

         

(Week 21)

First baby movement

Mom-to-be starts to feel baby's movement around  16 - 22 weeks. So I've looking forward to feeling this since week 16. As a first time mother, I am so excited to experience this magical moments.

In the past few weeks, I feel some liquid moving around but today..I guess it is!!!

I am quite confirmed that this time it's the little one's kicking/punching. 我想我應該選定今天是胎動的第一次罷..這種微妙的經歷....在往後的日子,會愈來愈頻密...

(Week 20, Day 6)

Prenatal Checkup

Received welcome gifts from the Women's Clinic.

At my Week 20 now, it is always excited to attend the Prenatal Check-up every time becoz it means we may have time to see the little pea. However, this time, Dr. didn't show us the ultrasound...but we did hear the heartbeat. No news is good news in this case. The next obstetrical scan will be on July 19. By that time, we will be able to know the gender of our baby.

First Campus Tour

Yun came to visit us today. We joined the Campus walking tour which lasts about 45 minutes.  The guide is a student volunteer, energetic and enthusiastic. Recommended for those who want to know more about the campus...it's free.

First Visit to Baby "R" Us

Today we went to the Baby "R' Us for the first time. Trying to get an idea about what's inside the Baby store and what we might going to buy in the coming months...maybe coming years! 

The fact is, we know nothing, we have totally no idea where to start. There are so many things that 'seems to be' a must but which brand and what factors we should look for. No idea! 

作為一個精明既消費者..我地當然係咩都無買到...因為一定要做左功課..先知道邊d野值得買!　所以..今趟我地只係'運吉' = 視察一下情況....其實真係好難忍手gar...因為d BB野全部都好靚...好吸引..as we haven't confirmed the gender of our baby yet. It gives us a good reason to put all the things 'ON HOLD'. :P

 

One Product I am thinking to buy is the Baby Plus Prenatal Education System. I am still struggling about this. Not sure if it's really necessary and beneficial to baby's development.

Mom-to-be's Birthday

You know what, it's the first time I could spent my birthday with Hugo after we got married since we were staying apart in the past two years. It's a meaningful birthday to me and my birthday wish is simple........

I used to have a series of gatherings with my dear friends but now away from home....it's really hard to meet all my beloved friends and family.  Thank you for all your blessings and I really miss you all.

Pregnancy Books in Chinese

Thank you for Kennis and Don and also my sisters. They have mailed copies of pregnancy books to me so that I can enjoy those contents in Chinese! That's important...not only about the medium of language..It's also about different culture because here...the books won't suggest you to eat 花膠 or avoid 熱氣 food etc..

 

So now I've been spending most of my time on these books. Child Birth and Parenting are new topics to me and I know this research is really really a long one.  I better be well-prepared.
